Dear Alan , Lorna & Girls,
Thank
you Alan, Lorna & Melissa for your letters, but where is the one from
Jolene? Was she busy playing with yabbie?
Gee
thanks for the lovely material it seems a waste to use it only at Xmas – but I
suppose I can use it for birthday parties too – I don’t know what the rest of
the family are doing but Dad & I , Lesley & Ronald , Debbie, Lionel
& kids are having Xmas here – I hate going away over Xmas & also now
that Elliot doesn’t live on the property
any more it is a bit risky us all going away – but Ronald & Lesley are
going caravanning down the S Coast after Xmas.
I don’t think her folks will go – her mother has her ups & downs.
Thanks for the lovely phots of Stacey & Jolene – Stacey looks too cute with
her little pig tails – what happened to Melissa. She really isn’t very
photogenic.
We took
the Collaghan kids to the beach for the day on Friday & we had a lovely day
– we went to the new paddling ponds on the South Beach – they are huge &
painted in bright colors – with lots of different shades, waterfalls, fountains
& bubbly baths. We spent the weekend with Neal & Dad. Neal, Stephen
& Ronald Lumgair went out on the bay on Friday night in Ronald’s cabin
cruiser & they caught about 6 nice size fish – they arrived home at 1.10
a.m. – the Sunday went out again with
Sheila, Ronald & Jemma for the day & they caught one fish.
Our
weather here is very erratic too – & hardly any rain – I have lost most of
the seeds I planted as it has been too dry. Yesterday it was about 30 C in
P.M.Burg & today they have issued a warning that there will be snow on the
berg tonight.
I am so
busy swing & knitting – I am trying to get all the Xmas presents done
before the schools break up as then all the kids are wanting to come & stay
or for me to go down to them.
Mr
Jacobs from the G.G. phoned to find out how you were doing & if you still
lived at the same address – he was surprised to hear we had been to visit you
& I invited him here to come & see the photos of Australia.
I am
also trying to catch up on all out social engagements – the Murdocks all popped
in last Friday & today we went to see the gibbons & are having lunch
with them on Tuesday – next Friday the Hayes are coming & inbetween I want to have some friends
for tea & another lot for dinner & then we also have to go to the Hayes
to install their new kitchen – we must also go & visit the Hills but are
waiting for Jonathon to break up school – can you believe it they break up on
the 30th November.
Must
close now & thanks again for the lovely material. Tons of love from,
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Dad, Mum & family
