Dear Alan, Lorna & Girls,
I am a bit late writing this week as we only came home on
Saturday night. We spent 3 days at Kelso with Lionel, Debbie & family & Neal, Vanessa & family & we had
a super weekend never saw the kids all
weekend & the weather was heavenly –
after Kelso we went to the Hayes & spent another 3 heavenly days with them,
then onto Sheila’s , where we stayed until Saturday. Lumgiar was in the army,
but wanted to get home very night. He was only in for 7 days, actually he has
been very pleasant lately.

Jones had a 9lb baby 2 weeks ago – she has called her Tam-lyn, but she is a
very colicky baby & Catherine is battling with her…………………………………….
We went
to visit Aunty Norah & Uncle Stan & who should pop on to visit but
Aunty Grace Hansen – she has put Dawn into a home & she is also in an old
age home at Richmond………………………………………………………………………….
Lionel
had an accident last night – he stopped to help someone – then showed them the
way to go & hit a donga in the road & broke the windscreen with his
head & face & bent the chains, which has pushed the engine back – so
the car is out of commission & it is going to take a a long time to repair
& cost a lot of money thousands in fact, but they are insured. Lionel has
whiplash & a cut lip & bruised otherwise O.K.
We are
going to Durban on Saturday again for a few days as Neal is on leave &
Daddy is going to help him to build – Sheila & Ronald & family are
going to Cape Town for 2 weeks holiday. Jemma & Garrett are having their
birthday parties this weekend.
I made
some assumptions & I am trying to make myself a dress but I have made it on
the small side so will have to lose some weight.
We have
now had 10 days of summer, but hope it rains tonight. I have pulled all the
beans out & made curry bean pickle & it is delicious. Well must sign
off.
