Dear Alan, Lorna & Girls,
Well we
arrived home last Monday night at 9 p.m. after 3 ½ weeks on the road – we had a
lovely holiday, but were very tired.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….We
have paid our airfare to Australia R 7,300 just to Sydney & back – so you
can guess we are cutting things very fine, but Daddy is really looking forward
to his holiday……………………..
All the family are well & your parcels have started to
arrive & everyone very thrilled with the things you have made for them.
Jimmy
wants Dad & I to have a 10 day holiday with them spending a weekend at
Scottburgh 4 days in Bergville then a weekend at Royal National. I can’t
believe it Vanessa missed us so much that she has insisted that Dad & I go
down & spend at least a week with her & she doesn’t know what she is
going to do when we go away for 3 months.
The
weather is very very hot & we have had no rain for ages. We have picked all
the potatoes & the fruit is finished – the beans are just coming on &
we also have carrots & turnips. I am going to start cooking lunch again
& then just have a snack for super as I think it will be better for Dad.
Well no
more news as my hand is giving me grief, looking forward to seeing you all
again,
Tons
of love from
Dad,
Mum & family
