Dear Lorna & family,

Sorry it has taken so long to write. We have just got back from our holiday & are settling in to a routine again.

We had a lovely Christmas with Jenny & Jimmy & then we went to Capetown for 10 days. It was a bit hectic trying to do the journey with my kids; they both got car sick, so we really had some fun& games. They were really good in the car which was super. We met up with ma & Dad for New Year & had 4 super days with them. We went to Hout Bay & took a cruise out to Seal Island. It was lovely. We also went to Cape Point. It so funny because we bumped into Lionel’s sister, Nola, at Hout Bay. We had heard that they were going to the Cape, but we hardly imagined that we would bump into them; so it was quite coincidence.

After Ma & Dad left, the weather turned miserable. The wind blew for a whole week, and never let up once. We were staying at a chalet at the Boulders, a beautiful beach just past Simon’s Town. The wind was so bad, that we could not go to t the beach once. We visited a few more wine farms, and one day we took the train from Simon’s Town into Cape Town which was lovely. We spent 10 days in Capetown & then we cut our holiday short because of the weather. By the way thanks for the beautiful clothes that you sent for my kids. You are really clever. The jumpsuit looks so cute on Fay. Lionel is sure that if you made a whole lot of them, we could sell them like hot cakes here; but I am sure you are far too busy for that. Gee my kids are really growing up. Fay talks beautifully and is almost completely potty trained & her & Jonathon play so beautifully together they really are a treat.

Anyhow I have not got much news except that I am doing my Driver’s License on 29 January so I am busty practicing 7 taking lessons, so I just hope I pass.
