Dear Alan, Lorna & Girls
Well we
have just arrived home from Neal’s , where we have been for 2 weeks – & do
we need a holiday now – Dad helped Neal to build a retaining wall below the
swimming pool & to put in a new bay
window – where the burglars got through
– I just kept busy washing – cooking & running to @ from with the boys
& trying to get some order into their lives – as each time they swim its
new clean pants on & a clean towel & they get in & out of the pool
all the time – so I quickly put a stop to that.
Taryn
is home & back at school, but not 100% she still limps & has a lump in
her leg & the specialist orthopedic told me that she has been a very sick
little girl & that if anything happened like more swelling or sore, she was
to be taken back immediately. They still haven’t found out what was wrong with
her.
Jenny
has just passed her second licentiate now has L.T. C. L. & L.R.S.M. so she
is very pleased with herself & she is doing her degree.
Did I
tell you that Neal had done so well at Tech. 98–95––85–80 % in his subjects –
he still keeps getting boils & this week had one on his nose. I think he
works too hard.
Last
weekend Debbie Lionel & kids joined us & we all went
tenting (camping) at Illovo Beach, but it was so windy we couldn’t go onto the
beach – but the caravan park was lovely so shady & a swimming pool &
table tennis & a TV for the addict !
We saw Uncle Freed & his girlfriend they were off to South West to a show
& Charles spent Friday evening with us.
It’s
family day soon so I must get my but into gear & sort something out. We had dinner with the Murdocks everyone
sends their love.
Can you
believe it we are sitting in front of a fire – we still haven’t had a n y rain
– so we are desperate. Only my beans & only a few have come through &
the fruit trees are looking sick. This time last year we had the floods – but
we certainly don’t want floods again just a good rain.
I ate
so much at Neal’s & put on weight so I haven’t eaten today & feel quite
dizzy now & have a headache.
Dad
& Lionel are going to Vereeniging this week sometime to measure up for an
oak kitchen for the Hayes R13700 worth.
Lesley’s
mum & dad have bought a plot home & are putting it in Lesley’s backyard
& are going to stay permanently. I can’t see it myself once the cold
weather arrives. I am sure they will run as even now when they come she stays
for 5 minutes & complains all the time about the cold.
Well
that’s all for now but before I sign off I want to tell Alan about the huge wide
mouthed bass Lesley’s brother in law caught in the St Joseph’s dam across the
road from here. Please get the kids to send me a post card with a map of
Australia for my album.
Tons
of love from
Dad,
Mum & family
