From Turkey

Dear Alan,
Sending this early – haven’t yet sussed out the Turkish
post. No doubt you know I am here… well I am!!! Here in Denizli to teach
English to the children of wealthy Denizli parents, businessmen. It is an elite
school so I am perpetuating the imbalances of privileges and rights. But what
the heck – the food is great, the people (well the ones connected with the
school- we are special to them) hospitable, the sun shines all the time and I
am here with two girls from England.
It took a week for us to spend a night in. Diner at one, lunch
at another.
So how goes life in Hobart? The job offering any new challenges
or excitement!!
More Turkish, we suspect that the guy doesn’t what he is
doing. flips through a folder, swaggers in and out of the room (gun in holster)
says something, picks up another folder… oh no he doesn’t sound happy. We are
doomed to live in Denizli forever.
Hello to Lorna, Melissa, Jolene and Stacey. He smiles.
Something has changed. Lights a cigarette (national pastime).
Time for a coffee, or tea or stroll all Turkish style.
Love
Bev
