Dear Alan, Lorna & Girls,
I think it has rained every day since Debbie left & one
can sit & watch the grass growing. Elliot has his work cut out trying to
keep the place mowed & weed free. Jenny has decided to send Tara to
boarding school in Escort. I think it is an excellent idea, as the kids spend
far too much time in the hotel & I don’t think it’s a good idea at all.
I’ll be glad when the Besters come back Clinton is totally lost
without Jonathon , who is his best friend
he keeps pestering me as to when they are coming home as he has caught a
grunter & will only cook when Jonathon comes to share it with him.
We’ve just got back from Midmar Dam & it’s over the wall
so very exciting. Regan’s hostel had an open day at Midmar & all the
families were invited – 150 boys plus their families & the weather
heavenly. We were all there & there were so many boats etc. you should have
seen the queue to get into Midmar.
We have just a farmer’s radio the police have given one to
everyone over 60 years of age so we are very pleased to have one & will use
it in the car as well. We are going to Andrew Engelbrecht’s wedding on Saturday
then picking up the Besters on Sunday. The whole family are going to be at the
airport to meet them with banners & all.
We have had visitors everyday for over 2 weeks now & it
looks as though this week is going to be the same – The Mallons are now living
in Howick & are coming to visit this week.
Must close now my bed is calling.
Tons
of love from,
Dad,
Mum & family
